The Rescue Project hosts it’s Second Annual Vision 2020 Benefit Ball – A Campaign Raising Awareness while Fighting for Life’s’ most basic needs; Access to Clean Drinking Water & Eye Health

The Rescue Project, a subsidiary of HAVEN HANDS Inc, hosts it second annual Vision 2020 Benefit Ball. The campaign aims to raise money to support women and children gain access to clean drinking water and proper eye healthcare all over the world. Following the breakout success of the first annual event, The Rescue Project stages another Benefit Ball on December 12th, 2018 in New York City, hosted by Mistress of Ceremony actress/musician Kreesha Turner. This is a black-tie gala and a night filled with fun and edu-tainment. The evening’s itinerary includes a Red Carpet to cocktail hour then dinner interspersed with fashion show eleganté & artist performances with a lineup of performers including the Musical Duo Frances Rose and Violinist Sooyeon Jun, fashion show highlight by Thai-American fashion designer Thunyatorn, and music by two Disc Jockeys; Millie Bass and DJ Jaiye with other celebrities guest to attend. The auction part of the evening is supported by High valued Art pieces donated by the famed Artist Bernie Chase and Architect turned artist Michele Abboud who are also featured speakers of the night. Other featured speakers include board members of the organization Dr. B. Oyinka Marquis, Dr. Adetunbi Ayeni, Mr. Edwin Apaloo and Dr. Quinny Patel. Business and fashion guru Redeemer Resk ‘Que, the founder and chairman of The Rescue Project / Haven Hands Inc.,  is the keynote speaker of the occasion. All these notable talents come together in efforts to raise awareness for the basic human right; Clean water & eye care for women and children. The campaign’s current focuses are Ghana, Haiti, Nigeria, & also those more domestically based in Flint & Puerto Rico.

After the successful launch of the first Vision 2020 Benefit Ball in 2017, The Rescue Project stages its second-year fundraiser while raising awareness of the basic life necessities. The Vision 2020 Campaign aims to raise $20M by the year 2020, with all proceeds going to aid over 200 million individuals in need all over the world. The main goals of the Vision 2020 Campaign are to provide clean water and sanitation in developing areas, while also ensuring healthy eyesight and basic eye care becoming the standard all across the world as well as training and supplying medical personnel and supplies. The campaign joins the fight for clean water by creating awareness while building and installing wells, filtration systems, irrigation systems, latrines in the selected areas that need it most across the globe. The Vision 2020 Campaign is already well underway in revolutionizing something the rest of the world takes for granted; clean water, proper sanitation and basic eye care, all things that most developing countries are desperately in need of.

This year’s Vision 2020 Ball features Kreesha Turner as the master of ceremony  (mistress of ceremony). She was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to a Canadian Father and a Jamaican mother, has traveled all over the globe and witnessed exactly what Vision 2020 is working to change. First rising to Platinum-selling prominence after signing a record deal with Capitol Music Group and EMI Music Canada, Kreesha released two albums in the R&B and Reggae genres since 2008, which have charted in Canada, and has also released several successful singles that have charted around the world. Kreesha Turner currently lives in Hollywood, although retired from the music industry, she works as a social media influencer and an actor starring in Hollywood movies and various music videos.

The night highlights a performance by musical duo Frances Rose. Frances Rose is composed of two sisters, Sarah Frances Cagianese and Michelle Rose Cagianese, who have been making music their entire lives. Based out of New York City and originating from the Dutchess County area of Upstate New York, the electro-pop group has brought their unique sound that updates pop and R&B sounds from the ’80s and ’90s from New York to France to West Africa. Frances Rose have the heart of gold many at Vision 2020 hold, working with  Children of Bellevue Hospital, She Runs It Non-Profit, Amnesty International, Make A Wish Foundation, and Toys For Tots in addition to being active with UNICEF. The night also stars a performance by one of the most sought-after violinists, Sooyeon Jun. Ms. Jun was born in Busan, South Korea. She started her music career at the age of six playing piano and in the following years, she found her new passion in violin and was professionally trained as a violinist at Busan High school of Arts and the Sookmyong Women’s University in Seoul. Sooyeon Jun received a masters degree in music performance in Austria and was the winner of a Goshin University competition in Korea. As a soloist, she played in many prestigious venues such as Carabini Saal at Residenz Palace in Salzburg in Austria, Schloss Albeck in Gurktal in Austria and Spindler-Klatt in Berlin Germany. 

THE RESCUE PROJECT is a dedicated project of HAVEN HANDS INC. aimed at providing clean water and sanitation for those in need. With a genuine passion for protecting the health and well-being of those deprived of necessities throughout the world, The Rescue Project believes that increasing access to such a simple element of life, water, can change the lives of millions. The project, backed by and named after its founder and chairman, Resk ‘Que, is targeted to focus on Sub-Saharan African countries, but upholds an objective to advocate for healthy drinking water in Asia, Haiti, East Europe, Latin America and everywhere else that clean drinking water is scarce.


HAVEN HANDS INC. is the umbrella organization of THE RESCUE PROJECT, a humanitarian organization, that provides resources and assistance during the times of need during times of natural disaster and tragedies to people affected, especially to children. HAVEN HANDS’ priorities are on children who are disabled, sick and/ or left orphaned around the world. HAVEN HANDS prioritizes child welfare services above all things. Providing quality foster care, education and adoption services domestically and internationally.
